Clubs: Think Global, Act Local 

Model United Nations has challenged me to examine global issues from perspectives beyond my own while strengthening my skills in research, debate, negotiation, and collaborative problem-solving. I represented my high school at Harvard Model United Nations in 2025, served as a Committee Officer for the 2025 Connecticut World Affairs Council (CTWAC) Model UN Conference, and volunteered as a mentor for the inaugural CTWAC Young Delegates Model UN in March 2026. I am excited to return to Harvard Model UN in 2027 as a Committee Chair for my school.

Through researching international challenges, drafting resolutions, and negotiating with other delegates, I have explored issues ranging from access to clean water and malnutrition to broader questions of development and international cooperation. My leadership roles have also taught me that diplomacy extends beyond formal debate. As a Committee Officer, I encountered a submission that raised concerns about compliance with conference guidelines. I worked to address the issue fairly and constructively, balancing the integrity of the conference with the opportunity to help delegates understand expectations and improve their work.

Moving from delegate to officer, mentor, and chair has been especially meaningful to me. Model UN has taught me to listen carefully, communicate across differences, and approach complicated problems with both conviction and openness.
